I was lucky enough to get a relationship going with my panther, becasue of hand feeding, then shower day came and now he hates me. lol
He hates water and by me giving him a shower he relates me to water.
me + water = angry cham.
Back to the hand feedings I guess...
Cage- 18x18x36 screen
Lighting- 5.0 linear tube 75 watt exo terra heat bulb
temp- basking 85-89 bottom 75
plants- umbrella tree
placement- bedroom, not to much traffic
my chameleon- panther, 5 months, male
handling- none
feeding- crickets, wax worms, superworms, meal worm beetles and moths...
I have read all these posts about chams sleeping during the day and I'm curious to know, what causes this and what are the effects and is there a way to cure it? Thanks
My backyard does not have any pesticides used so would it be fine to use some insects from my yard like katydids and grasshoppers and worms? Just for say when, I run out of crickets and other feeders, like today.
alright cool, ill try that, he still is eating and drinking fine, yeah that could be it because he seems fine in the morning there then later on as it warms up he moves down. thanks and i will keep you guys updated
I would but right at the moment I spryed with warm water into his eye, he kept it closed for a bit then opened it again and now its looks fine. ha so maybe I flushed it out by doing that but maybe not, I will keep you posted and if it comes back I'll post a picture
awesome looking tokay, like the last pic. if you handle them frequently then they do become tame, mine is very tame. so nuthing to worry about if its docile. some are.
