I have read all these posts about chams sleeping during the day and I'm curious to know, what causes this and what are the effects and is there a way to cure it? Thanks

So I'm assuming your having a problem with a sleepy cham? If so give us a little bit more info about your situation and I'm sure you will get a more specific answer.

When a cham sleeps in the day time it is a sign that have a health problem and a vet visit is in order.

problem:

it hasn't happened yet but my cham, has been going to its sleeping spot during the day but not sleeping but then later in the after noon, he will close his eyes so I want to be preparded with what to do

yeah when he goes down in the umbrella tree to cool down, it is very shady and dark where he could think it is dark and thre for night

I would try to brighten up his cage. Maybe with better lighting or a better lit room. My guys love being by the window.
