It is still pretty cold here! I've removed the cover I had on the rear screen of the cage and the basking temp has come back down to 85. The old bulb is a 100w d3 uv basking light from Arcadia. Would you recommend switching back? He seems to be brighter colours today with the new lamp!

I was just wondering what wattage is best to use for the basking spot of a 3ft tall cage, 5 month baby panther? I had a 100w which was making the basking temp a solid 85, but the bulb I was using was emitting uv as well as the tube, so wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not...
