I was referring to t5 not t8 but yeah they did get me lol. That's good info there for op aswell. So a little off topic, for a bearded dragon that a reptisun 10.0 (t8) is recommended, an arcadia 6% would be enough if the distance is let's say about 12"? I'm due to change his uvb in the next 2...
I've had my dubias for a couple years now but I've never had that issue. Since I only had a bearded dragon I would try to reduce reproduction by lowering temps and now with a cham I'm back to normal to hopefully get him into them. My only guess would be that the colony got too big so they...
I use arcadia 6% which is similar but a little better to reptisun 5.0 from the forum recommendations. I haven't invested in a solar meter to know exactly uvb I'm getting in the cage but it's a baby cage for now. 36x18x18, til he gets older. I do have a schefflera that covers the whole cage and a...
U mean reptisun 5.0? Because the 10.0 is stronger than Arcadia 6% but similar to Arcadia 12% from my understanding and it's also recommended for desert reptiles or heavyly planted large enclosures
Yeah I agree with everyone, even if u don't buy a pet which I wouldn't either less it's something I couldn't find from a breeder, I would just buy supplies and feeders. I went to the one here in Los Angeles in January when I was getting ready for my panther and ended up getting stuff for my...
From what I've read on here, some breeders (kamers specially) use that one but everyday. If your cham gets direct sunlight then u could lower it to 5 times a week depending how much direct sunlight he gets. But I'm not sure if it provides vitamin d3. It says it contains vitamin d but could be...
I
as wondering the same as right now I'm using a Rubbermaid food container that I glued magnets to hold it on place and drilled holes to drained water if any goes on but crickets always jump out, it's about 5 inches tall and has a 7" pole in the middle so worms climb up. Ill give nicks cups a...
The poor man's ac with a ice bottle/jug behind a fan I would think works. I used to do it when out ac broke down at the house and it was quiet refreshing.
My 2c are to go to your local nursery or homedepot/lowes to find a nice schefflera or ficus which is what most people use here along with a pothos. I hit the jackpot at a nursery after going to 4 different ones and hardware stores. They had tons of 2-5 ft schefflera, ficus, croton, etc for only...
Hello everyone!
I'm glad to say that my little one came safely! Thanks @Matt Vanilla Gorilla !!! I spent months getting everything ready and I forgot to think of a name lol hopefully I'll have one soon! As for him, he's just chilling right now still a little nervous of his new habitat but he's...
Oh ok I'll check it out, I'm gonna have to find a reason to go now besides that lol I don't have a Kroger near by but Medic mention CVS, Riteaid, and Albertsons and I do have those around. Thanks for the info people!! Although buck a jug of distilled water/ro isn't that bad, saving a penny goes...
Do u know if all walmart has the system? I have one near by and wouldn't hurt to get a bucket filled. Right now I've been testing my set up before I get my Cham and been buying the gallon jugs from target for a buck each Erich isn't that bad
Knowing the temp at the basking spot is what you need so get a temperature gun or a digital termometer. You might need to try different watts but I've read the usually a 60w does it. If it's too hot, you can always raise the lamp up a little. Hopeople that helps
Have u fed her mealworms or superworms? Could be that she has a piece of their exoskeleton stuck on her throat. Or a crickets leg. That's my wild guess as I'm not experienced as other people but that happend to my bearded dragon and once I saw him drink lots of water it went away.
