Mistaking water

Do you guys fill your mistkings with water from your fridges, a faucet with a purifier, or just use those little packets like what comes with drippers like the big dripper?
Thanks!

My refrigerator has a filter. It is supposed to remove chlorine and lead but I still get a lot of mineral deposits around the dispenser I have to clean with vinegar. I don't want that build up on my screen or plants so I use distilled. Many people use reverse osmosis filters. It depends on your water.

I use filtered water, either in-line (typical fridge type you refer to) or simple Britta filter. As long as its filtered.

Reason for me doing so is to minimize hard water clogging the TINY mist nozzle. For nozzle to work properly and create that micro fine mist, it needs to be free of obstruction.

I've used both types of filter water for over a year now and have not had one nozzle clog on me and it sprays that fine micro mist as it did on Day 1 when I turned it on.

The Walmart deal is better than what I get at my big box store which is 7$ for 5 Gallons. @MedicMan1 thanks for the tip.!
Holy crap my friend. That's way too expensive. Check around town, if Walmart doesn't have one, those water fill machines are usually able to be found and most are reverse osmosis at least. The most expensive RO machine I have seen in town here is $0.40 per gallon.

Thanks all! I'll probably use my fridge unless I see any mineral build up, then I'm going to wally world:)

Me also. I take a five gallon jug to Walmart and fill it for $1.80. The water machine is reverse osmosis, has secondary sediment filters, removes chlorine, and then uses UV light. Good stuff. No risk of contaminates or clogging nozzles with mineral deposits.
Do u know if all walmart has the system? I have one near by and wouldn't hurt to get a bucket filled. Right now I've been testing my set up before I get my Cham and been buying the gallon jugs from target for a buck each Erich isn't that bad

I am not sure if all Walmarts have them. My Walmart is a super center, and the machine is in the back of the grocery section by the Alcohol and water bottles. Keep an eye out for other machines though if Wally World doesn't have one. There are usually a couple of those machines around most towns, usually outside, or just inside, grocery stores.

I use R.O. water to avoid any chalky buildups and I get it out of a reverse osmosis filtering machine just like what Wal-Mart has, but I go to Kroger to get mine because there is a Kroger like 2 minutes down the road from me. I do know for a fact that every Kroger I have ever been in has had one of the machines (they will be in the soda aisle), and I have been to lots of different Kroger stores over the course of my life. So if your local Wal-Mart doesn't have a reverse osmosis water refill station, check your local Kroger store.

Cheers (y)

Oh ok I'll check it out, I'm gonna have to find a reason to go now besides that lol I don't have a Kroger near by but Medic mention CVS, Riteaid, and Albertsons and I do have those around. Thanks for the info people!! Although buck a jug of distilled water/ro isn't that bad, saving a penny goes a long way lol at work we use RO water and the system is the size of a living room but idk about taking water home from work lol

All you can do is ask your boss if you could buy some, if he says no, then you know!

I use refillable 5-gallon blue jugs. That's the cheapest route. I have two of them, and it takes $1.90 to fill one. 5 gallons of pure clean water for $1.90 is cheap if you ask me. Definitely worth it when you consider that it saves you the hassle of ever cleaning buildup on your plants, cage, mist nozzles, or anything really. Definitely worth the cost.
