No no, I looked at a few places.. it's never below $50 and I can't afford that.
I'm willing to take the risk. if anything, I just won't leave the light on for too long.
Just a few questions.
I bought a tube UVB light, which cost $30, and the fixture would have been 50.. so I didn't buy it.
I bought this instead:

I saw some users posting about how these types of bulbs are bad? Any examples or stories...
It's just weird considering I've had her since September and it's never happened to me yet. It's a sign that I have to buy that fixture for my tube light. Haha.
I was just spraying my chameleons cage, like I do a few times a day.. and one of my lightbulbs EXPLODED. It was a LOUD pop, and some smoke, and some dust that fell into her cage.
What the fuck? Is this normal?
Very quick..
I just bought one of those UVB tube lights, a 5.0 one.. (cost me $30 by the way...) but both Petsmart and Home Depot didn't have the fixture for it.
Where else could I find one?
My cham hasn't shed in a while, and usually she would start from her back. This morning my cham started to shed one of her arms... I thought that was strange but I figured maybe she's just starting off weird.
But now it's night time and nothing has changed..
Weird? :S Should I be worried?
I'm still unsure whether or not she's going to lay eggs!
She's still eating..
But now she's stopped walking around the cage, she just sits in one spot ALL day and doesn't really go bright green.. she's just a dark green lately.
This is confusing.
Once again, I got my cham back in September.
Past few days I noticed she's acting a little different. Sometimes when she's hungry she walks around the floor of the cage hunting for crickets.
Lately, she's been walking loudy on the floor AND she's been climbing the walls all around the cage...
I did get her a Daylight Blue lighbulb a few days ago, since she's been running on simply a basking light for a while.
So now it's significantly brighter in her cage, if that might have anything to do with it? :S
Nope, I've never given her any worms.. and I've only seen them sell silkworms and mealworms at the stores I think?
And no, she's never really showed any blue before..
Ah!
I went upstairs to feed her two more crickets.. and then I bent over to get something from my backpack and she attacked the cage and tried to eat me!
Why is she mistaking any movements I make as food? She's never done that before.
I'm not sure about her exact age because the petstore couldn't give me one when I bought her. I got her in September though, and I think she may have been 3 months when I bought her?
She was really tiny.
So altogether, would that be 8? :S
And I usually feed her 2-4 large crickets a day...
So I've had a veiled since September, she's still quite small.. growing.
She's not very exciting and she hates me. Hisses a lot, even when I'm spraying water, or putting in her food container.
Oh, she also likes to hide when I simply unzip the cage sometimes.. she really doesn't like hands...
