I wish I had more time to post, but life is having it's way with me atm. Beanie is doing so well, but pissed about her diet. The problem with her hip is a calcium deposit instead of gout. As it turns out, she likes my new roommate more than she's ever liked me. Little foot gave me so many grumpy...
@Angelwolf They're still coming along. Just so damn slowly! Sorry I haven't been around much, I've had a ton going on. I'm not ZacharyLeesWife anymore, me and my entire herd of lizards just got settled in our new place.
She's doing remarkably well, she's actually passing normal urates! I have an appointment for more scans in a few weeks, her hip is still looking bad but she's not favoring that leg anymore. She's also not showing any dehydration, but I wish her colors were a little bit better. The last set of...
I think @Decadancin called it with Buster Brown Butt, I named him and couldn't let him go. He's one of the family now! Him trying to fly is the cutest thing that's ever been. I can handle Jennay in exchange for either Mango puree or honey, but Forrest stump is just way too skittish.
I have been so busy with Beanie that I haven't had time to show off the other scale babies! Forrest stump and Jennay are doing incredibly well. I'm so happy with their high reds! I expected them to lose much more reds than they did. And Buster the little crestie is finally growing, still...
I can definitely cut her back further, I was just nervous about underfeeding. She's on liquid calcium and everything she eats is dusted, so her calcium needs are definitely covered. Would cutting the meals I'm feeding in half and going down to 3 meals a week be enough for her?
She's fed every other day, right now I'm mostly feeding soldier flies. About 10 at each meal. She has to hunt for them, which she really enjoys but I don't think she is catching all 10. I give her 3 medium hornworms when she gets them. They grow so fast, so I feed more or less depending on the...
She's not a fan of silkies, but she loves hornworms. In fact I have to be careful because she'll decide that's all she wants to eat. Right now she's eating quite a few soldier flies, she'll actually get around to hunt for them. She gets hornworms twice a week, but I am only feeding every other...
I'm so proud of this spunky little lizard! She's eating and really active again. If I can keep her stable for a few weeks, the vet said we can get her spayed. She has so much fight in her, she's my little soldier.
The plan is to spay her as soon as possible but she's not quite up for surgery just yet. I got 2 totally different opinions on her hip, but the second vet didn't get very good scans and said she was too dehydrated to try to get blood. Her primary vet said that it looks like gout, but it doesn't...
She laid 72 eggs yesterday. I never expected her to be able to lay them. She's not eating yet but she's drinking like a little fish. Her left hip looks pretty bad but she's still got a strong grip in the foot.
