I would put the funnel at the bottom of the cylinder. Yes, I would have to pick up the poo. Over the years the bottom of my cages have gotten nasty because there's no way for the water to drain.

Well, my chameleon Rango seems like he has multiple personalities. I was feeding him today and he tried to get out of his cage which I couldn't understand because his cage is the biggest you can get. Then, after he ate I tried to handle him and he hissed at me. He's an odd little guy.
Uh... hmm. The only thing I can think of is this and it will only work for one feeding. Put whatever the amount of crickets. Then set your feeding schedule and you're good.
