    Moody cham

He's using an MVB. Its a little trickier because it gets so hot, but it will do the job as long as he can keep it from getting too hot. Looks like a good distance away. When I was a kid, that's all we had, and never had any problems. They get a bad name because some people just use them too...

Vet NYC Area? Good exotics pet stores?

Well....there goes the neighborhood. I live in NYC and the center for avian and exotic medicine is my vet! They have a great staff and a fantastic facility. Just watch out with their appointment policy, tardiness is not accepted according to their website. I went late once without issue...

New set-up shopping list - can i get a glance over?

Just some advice don't go hydrostat timer for the mistking. It is more for botanical applications and while it does work, it only has on, off, and humidity setting. It will maintain your humidity, but you cannot program a misting schedule with it. I made the same mistake and had to purchased...

You are totally right. Bugs are the protein of the future. They outnumber us millions to one, are a sustainable food source that isn't horrible for the environment like livestock, and pack more protein per gram than beef, chicken, pork, or fish. whether we like it or not, we will all be...

    Froot Flies

That sounds like fungus gnats to me. They come and go in the potted plants you may have in your enclosure. Its attributed to soil always being damp and that's almost impossible to avoid if you use a dripper, misting system, or hand mist. if they really drive you nuts you can repot the plant...
