    Oustalet update.

Second course of Baytril this morning. Whilst I had his mouth open I (or my daughter) popped in a fruit grub, he gobbled that up and it shouldn't aggravate the pustules.

    Oustalet update.

I posted last week to request a little help regarding my male Oustalet. He hasn't fed regularly for about a month or 6 weeks. I originally put it down to a very large shed and the facts Chameleons can go off food periodically. Following a second trip to the vets today we have identified...

    Oustalet Chameleon - Feeding habits.

I have taken Nero to the vets and he is in fine condition. They requested I return him if he continues not to feed. The advice they gave was to increase the heat in his vivarium by 10 degrees C and add an additional hour to his day. His current photo period is 12 hours. He maybe settling in a...

    Oustalet Chameleon - Feeding habits.

I will definitely agree to an Xray as you suggest, I'm hoping it isn't a blockage but you can never be too sure. His Vivarium is 5 feet high and from the time that he arrived he has been in it & he has fed without any problem. I have introduced more hiding places for him since the photo was...

    Oustalet Chameleon - Feeding habits.

Thank you all for your time in responding, I think I need to explain better. He was feeding gregariously six weeks ago, any type of locust, big or small. It isn't that he hasn't fed, it's that his diet now has almost stopped in comparison. He will take a waxwork but isn't interested in any other...

    Oustalet Chameleon - Feeding habits.

I have a large 18month old CB male Oustalet Chameleon. I have owned him now since the summer. He is very large and up to 6 weeks ago very hungry. He is now off of his food, he may have one or two wax worms, but the bigger gut loading bugs he avoids. He drinks from a drip system and takes water...

    Eye closed.

My new male Panther moved into his vivarium last week, I have allowed a good settling in period and noted he is eating and drinking well. A couple of days ago I noted his right eye was closed & he seems to rub it on branches or my finger when he is out of the cage. The eye does open when he is...

I would just like to say my very friendly Panther was put to sleep yesterday after nearly 5 years.. His tongue gave out last year.. No problem.. Hand fed from closer range. He lost his footing.. No problem, smaller branches and a smaller vivarium. Finding him at the bottom of the vivarium...

    Seasonal Feeding.

Seasonal feeders. Thanks for the reply, I was never concerned he's in perfect health. Always nice to receive feedback from other collectors, after all you know more than some so called professionals

    Seasonal Feeding.

My male Panther has been a rather reluctant feeder. However over the last few days his appetite has improved significantly. He's happy to munch away on adult locusts as soon as they are presented. Are Panthers seasonal feeders? because from today his appetite has waned. He's in perfect...

    Colouration

I have a wonderful male Panther. He's very tame and in great health. My question is one of diet and colouration. Last July he was a crimson red, a very handsome boy, he fed well and ate a variety of bugs, up to and Including adult locusts. He shed in Feb of this year and since then he's...

    Reluctant feeder.

I purchased a male Panther last week and wrote about his reluctance to feed. I put this down to a change of environment which as we all know affects Chameleons differently. Over the last week I have offered a varied selection to Inc all types of cricket & various sizes of locust. The only food...

    Settling in.

I have just collected a beautiful male Panther from a private collector. He's tame however he's reluctant to feed at the moment and he's struggling to acclimatise to his new viv. I have pull down blinds fitted to the outside of the vivarium that control photo periods during summer and was...
