Because I can. ;)
I am very busy, and I streamline all my processes.
Spring is here, so there is lots of yard work (we own two homes) and weekends are filled with house work, other projects around he house, family times, other pets among other things.
I don't want to handle or sort...
EXACTLY! this convenience is worth the extra $10 (in my case when I was shopping for them)
Way better? No. Even a little better is subjective based on your expectations and requirements.
Someone said the Climist has a 120VAC pump. Not true? That's what I had heard but you got me second...
This is actually very interesting. Thanks for sharing. I can't imagine living in an area that was as humid as you described. I prefer dryer, cooler environments. Thinking about going around all day perpetually all sticky from humidly and heat.....well makes me feel a it little...
My gone little friend , Jackson (R.I.P. :() who was a veiled left those on my every time I had him out and he climbed on my arms and hands. I always assumed it was just an irritation caused by his little claws that gripped like crazy. I always washed my hands and arms with antibacterial soap...
Easy for you to say. He doesn't eat out of that basin.o_O I have a routine every night, to remove his feeding trough, dump his poopy and then wash and clean it and put it up for the evening. It goes back in the morning so the cycle repeats just about every day or so. (On the bright side, I...
Misting and misting properly is a part of taking care of your pet. I sure hope you didn't get into this expecting to be able to walk away from it like you can with some other pets.
Invest or just don't go on vacation, as suggested above. Best of luck. There are a few alternatives available...
Um....no. The shipping at $30+ is a rip-off when you can find shipping as low as I did. $8 dollars is a far better pill to swallow for those who don't have money to throw away.
Shipping speed is also vendor dependent. I initially ordered one from LLLReptile, but I would have waited...
I had the same issue. I couldn't bring myself to buy from the Mist King site. I wound up ordering from Josh's Frogs, where shipping was only $8.18 to my door. (Your rate may be different based on your location) ;)
My shipping with the plastic corner piece out the door was only $143.17...
With all due respect,
The reason you like the Climist is why I feel the Mist King is better.
More universal parts
Timer
I didn't like the timer or the location of the timer within the system when setup. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the timer is basically a plug in type for an outlet or...
I may try this, in a small test group. Maybe 100 crickets to 50 Dubias.....I'll have to plan the logistic of this and where to keep the other crickets....maybe I'll just buy 1/2 the crickets along with a small batch of Dubias this next go around. My next order is coming up on Thurday....
Touché! You are correct! My mind hears colony and I thing "breeding" - my bad.
I was kind of wanting to use the tubes... I have a process. I have small containers that I put Calcium Plus in and then I just pull out a tube from the keeper and dump what I want into the container...
No worries, everyone had had a good or bad experience with some vendor or dealer at some point in time. (y)
I would like to clarify, I order and pay for a quantity of 250 crickets. They send me about 325 in the box. I do have a few DOA (5-10?) but the vast are OK. When I said I never...
How so? Just be sure they can access their food. If you think about it, in the wild they have the entire forest and have to find their own food. Do you really think an enclosure that is 2 x 2 x 4 feet or even bigger will really affect them?
To the OP, good choice on the light/ hood...
This thread is going south, lol ;),I hear the words "Colony", someone named a roach, and how to stress a roach so it wont breed.
Here I am just wanting to keep enough on hand to feed my Cham and reorder so as to not have said colony or stressed out bugs or love one enough to name it....:p...
