I do not limit food, crickets are about 1-2 weeks old. He comes down to eat approx 2 ever 30-45min all day.
Silk worms are hard to get around here. They come into the stores on Wednesdays for most stores here. They come in one size and are sold within 24 hours. and even feeding them mulberrys...
I know my Cham is small. The breeder is reputable (Chameleons Galore)
They sell Chams at about 3 months, I waited a bit longer to pick mine up after I bought it so he should have been 3 1/2-4 months when I picked him up Feb 1. I sent pictures to the breeder who says he probably hasnt hit his...
I got him from a credible breeder in my area, I know who the sire is (and paid a lot to get him)
The bump started rite after I got him, in February. but was small until the middle of march.
I gave it a little squeeze and it feels like a cyst, I could feel it breaking up some. I will book an...
Hi everyone,
I was looking for some guidance with my 6 month old male Panther Chameleon.
He has a buldge on his eye that I thought would go away but seems to be getting bigger, also, he has not grown much since I got him.
I got him Feb 1, he was about 3 1/2 months old.
I have attached...
Your Cham looks dehydrated from the sunken eyes. Have you tried feeding small silk worms, butter worms, or wax worms... any bug that is full of moisture? You can even spritz them lightly with water to get maximum moisture in your cham
Thank you!
UPDATE: she has started to sit under her heat lamp and flatten like she is absorbing as much as possible as well as displaying dark spots and has started to sit with her mouth open
She does not have a light at night, she has a ceramic heat emitter. My house gets as low as 15 degrees Celsius at night 59 Fahrenheit. I have read this is to cold for her.
The pot I have the Ficus in is is about 1' x 1' with small ficus so she could use it as a laying bin. I will read further...
I have a 6 or 7 month old Veiled Chameleon who has gone on a worm strike over the last week. ( not to worry, she is still eating crickets)
She wont eat meal worms, super/king worms, butter worms, wax worms, or horned worms. I have not tried silk worms because they are a pain to get in my area...
I was hoping to find this as well.
I have my first, I think I will start taking monthly photos of her until she is grown up for everyone looking for the same info.
Thanks everyone.
Me and my husband see Chams living with other reptiles at the stores and they SEEM fine.
My husband really wants to have another reptile in the enclosure with her. a couple of the walls are glass and he wanted to buy a day gecko to put in.
To ease your worries, I will...
Okay, I know the obvious answer to this question but.... If a person were to have another reptile in an adiquitly large enclosure with a veiled cham, what reptile would work best?
I have 2 feeder cups in my 2 month old chams tank. One with worms, one with crickets. To ensure my cham can get out of the cricket tub I have a small piece of egg carton in it and the crickets manage to hop out.
She is not eating butter worms, baby meal worms, silk worms, or some weird flat...
