so i bought this sunray bulb about two hours ago and i found the contact to be old looking when i compared it to my 6 month old bulb can you guys give me some advice?
on the left is my old bulb
on the right is my 'new' one
so the problem is slowly going away when i began misting him 4 times a day (also on his body,he hates that) and lifting the lamp up by about another 10 CM
that is the problem i already tried all of those methods i even coverd the cage with a blanket so that the humidity can stay in it for a little longer and i mist him atleast 3 times a week
is it maybe worth a try to put some kind of gel on him that keep those spots humid for several hours?
his basking bulb is about 30 CM or 1 foot from his basking spot
but i personally don't think it is a burn since as you can see in the picture it isn't black at the moment( but i could be wrong)
some extra info: he was in a very large enclosure with about 30 other veilds
