should i use this bulb i just bought or should i bring it back?

so i bought this sunray bulb about two hours ago and i found the contact to be old looking when i compared it to my 6 month old bulb can you guys give me some advice?
on the left is my old bulb
on the right is my 'new' one

IMO, I'd take it back and get a linear uvb bulb.
