She looks lovely, and I totally know what you mean, I've ad my male for a month now and he seems to have grown loads since I first bought him. I had to upgrade his enclosure this morning because he's growing like a bloody weed.
Reptibreeze Medium for my 3 month old male veiled. It's got 2 live Scheffleras, 5m of doubled up Komodo 10mm jungle vine, 2 large branches attached to the sides with wire, and 4.5m of Zoo Med's 25W Repti Heat Cable running throughout the enclosure. To help maintain the humidity I've loosely...
This morning I've moved my 3 month old male veiled into a medium sized Reptibreeze viv, in his previous vivarium he had an Exo Terra hood with a 13W UV bulb. When I bought the medium RePtibreeze yesterday I bought hiM a 25W bulb for the new enclosure. I'm wondering, can I leave in the 13W AND...
He seems pretty comfortable as it is right now, but once he's moved into his bigger enclosure there'll be an abundance of live plants for him. When I take him out of his current viv and put him on the live plants I'm growing for him he snacks on the leaves a little, so I'm impressed that he can...
In my experience that's pretty normal, mine is the same, he's not flashing colours and such to communicate stress or anything, so I don't think you have anything to worry about, he looks cool as a cucumber.
Looking at the cage, I think it'll have a little difficulty holding in the humidity due to the width of the mesh. Perhaps place plastic sheeting/a shower curtain (maybe cut up) around the back and sides to help maintain the humidity if you're having trouble keeping the levels up. But you really...
Is he eating well? What climate do you live in? How old is he? What is he eating?
Probably best if you fill out this form and post it here so we can get as much detail as you can give: https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/
I know the feeling, mine takes a little coaxing but unfortunately many of them don't take to handling all that well, it may change over time but you can't force it, otherwise you'll stress him out. My first veiled some years ago took to handling really well from the start, but my new little guy...
Ah, so when she said their "mount", she meant their actual MOUNT... Well whatever makes her happy I suppose, I bet the taxidermist hadn't worked on many chameleons before.
Still, nice photos.
I'm so freaking jealous of people who live in that kind of climate, where I am it's grey and miserable most of the time, so the days I'll be able to take my chameleon out will be few and far between.
Thanks for the consideration, I've been keeping a close eye on his interactions with the plants and so far he hasn't nibbled on them, I check them often and thoroughly. I have a small Benjamina, a large one which I intend on placing in his Reptibreeze XL when Ziggy's large enough, and 2 small...
