Fantastic, thank you! I'm gonna keep her as is until Friday, and then I'll attempt to start feeding again. I'll order some of that as well and follow your plan of action. Also no worries! We all have off days :]
I've been doing the same liquid diet that we previously discussed, essentially a mixture of blended bugs, homemade gut load, and vitamins. Is Carnivore Care something you would recommend? The current system is a lot of work, so if there's an easier but still effective method I would be very...
Are a Jackson's sleeping colors bright vibrant green? If so that's pretty much always her coloration unless we're feeding, at which point she's typically very dark. I've been using Repashy ever since you mentioned it in relation to her eye. Granted it's not 'dusting' considering she's been on...
No changes today. The UVB was off all day, and the only interaction she had was a few brief misting sessions. I tried to be extra quiet and careful while feeding everyone else as well.
@Matt Vanilla Gorilla While we haven't interacted on her yet I really agree with everything you said. I have wanted a Chameleon most of my life, but I knew up until now I was not financially or educationally stable enough to support one. I did as much research as I could before getting my first...
You would or would not? I just want to be certain. I mean she would literally go days without moving from the bottom of area of the vivarium. She used to bask, but as of late she hasn't at all unless I specifically moved her up to the basking area. I normally did this because she would be very...
We buy our crickets from Georgia Crickets 2,000 at a time. We own a number of reptiles, and we churn through crickets quite quickly. I actually just finished setting up a cricket colony about a week ago, so hopefully within the next month or so we can stop purchasing them all together. I've...
Has anyone here ever started a successful cricket colony? I'm honestly curious how you know that it's time to move the laying bins to a new container. We set up the colony last Thursday, and I feel like we did a proper job. We have a100 adult crickets, and put in three small laying bins. I...
I appreciate the kind words everyone, it really means a lot. I'm going to try taking away the UCB as Andee mentioned, and maybe give her a day or two without food so that I can just completely let her be. Maybe having 48 hours completely on her own will help her relieve a bit of stress. It's...
Yeah, she's had antibiotics for her eye and for the lesions on her skin. I honestly have no idea why things aren't getting better. I think her vivarium is about as ideal as it can be. Her diet and supplementation are pretty much spot on. I'm just not sure.
Thanks for the response @serenaj25. I've been getting her out in the sun frequently actually, which seems to make her slightly more active. I actual have a local veterinarian who specializes in Chameleons, and that's who we've been seeing for the past few months. She's been wonderful throughout...
My poor little Charlize seems to be heading back downhill. Here’s the story for those of you who are not familiar with Charlize and myself.
Charlize is a juvenile Jackson’s Chameleon that I rescued from Petco. She was being kept in deplorable conditions and the vet said she would have been dead...
