Vet said she thinks it has to do with handling her for feeding and medication. She gave me a topical medication to apply to the effected areas, but agreed that I should give he a few days without the feedings and such.

Is there a solid alternative to basking bulbs to recude the chances of this occuring in the future?

Has anyone ever had their heating bulb (or any bulb) explode before? Mine just did while the enclosure was being misted. I'm not sure if the water was just too cold, but even if it was it's not like much gets directly onto the bulb. Is this something that is common? It was a Zoo Med 75w basking...
