I have two digital thermometers with probes ones is in the middle of the cage its 70 down there his basking spot is at 88 at the moment. Im guessing he is around 3-4 mos or so I cant be for certain though.
You are correct. The middle on is a 5.0 uvb and the other two are basking bulbs its only 60 in my room so its hard to keep the temp up in the cage with only one dome. Theres a gradient of 60 to high 80s in the cage.
Anyone got any good ideas for drainage on a mesh reptarium cage. Thinking maybe put the cage on top of a really big rubbermaid bin with a bucket inside. Put four holes in the reptarium liner and hot glue tubes so it can drain down to one central bucket that the tubes will be routed too . Then...
The admiral is mine Sheldon is my girlfriends lol he def acts like a Sheldon he seems a lot younger than the admiral he's not nearly as big. I paid for juveniles but they probably just sent what they had. Got them from reptmart .
Lol yea its been a week and he already looks abit bigger. Sheldons very finnicky though and hasn't really been eating slightly worried but maybe he's just still adjusting ill give him some more time.
Yea they hang out on the forest floor. They are very interesting once a male finally finds a female he will crawl up on her back and just chill so they don't lose each other. Which makes since seeing how they are the smallest reptile. Sometimes this goes on for days until they even mate. Lol...
No they are not canned crickets I mounted a tupperware container near a vine so he can get to them and threw some live crickets in there today he actually cleaned all of them out as well as some meal worms after he was done with the crickets.
Yea figured they just needed to settle in. One of them ate one yesterday out of the container and after that he kept shooting at the plastic then gave up.I did throw some crickets in the cage not sure if they ate them though they could be hiding and I do have drippers going to for good measure...
Almost two days now and I figured that had something to do with it they mostly just hide in the umbrella trees so far. The temp and humidity is good and they are a nice shade of green. Guess they just need to figure things out.
Tried perching them up on a big bowl with some crickets and they didn't touch any of them hand feeding didn't work either. So right now I have a Tupperware container mounted inside each cage with some crickets but they havnt touched them all day. Any tips?
They're both in separate cages. One of them is hiding so im not going to bother him. This one crawled on my hand willingly though. Hopefully I can get them to eat something later.
Got my two veiled males this morning from UPS. One is mine and the other my girlfriends. They both look pretty healthy and seems to be adjusting pretty well. One of them wouldn't open its eyes for awhile i guess it was just sleepy though and needed to warm up its eyes seem fine now. They really...
Thanks and I really wanted some hibiscus for my cages you cant really find them this time a year around here though. I have some really nice vines that grow in the forest in my back yard pretty much unlimited supply.
