Spot on female veiled not changing color

Is this an issue? She got spooked by her water bottle and got dark except for one spot. Besides that she is in good health, she doesn't show any signs of being unhealthy. Is it just some weird fluke? This is the first time I've noticed it.

Sites like this for other reptiles?

Are there other sites similar to this for other reptiles? I'm getting a crested gecko soon and I would like to be a part of that community as well!

    Phoenix/Tucson feeder breeders?

Hello! That would be awesome! I was actually about to drive all the way to mesa to get some dubias at a reptile supply store down there, but you're much closer. Do you want any money for them? If it's alright with you I could probably take quite a bit just because I don't know of any sellers in...

    Phoenix/Tucson feeder breeders?

Does anyone sell (or know anyone that does) feeders in the Phoenix or Tucson area? I travel between both pretty often but primarily live in Tucson and it's usually too hot to ship any feeders until at least October. I want to stop feeding my chameleon crickets from petco or petsmart because they...

    Good thermometers/humidity gauges

Hey guys, I'm upgrading my veiled's cage and building my own out of a curio cabinet and while I'm doing that I want to also upgrade some of her cage supplies, but the one I'm kinda stuck on is a thermometer and hygrometer. Right now I have one of the cheap ones from petco and I understand that...

    Banded Cricket raising

No problem! I didn't see that it was a site for selling until after I sent them (although, the information is probably still applicable). Regardless, it sounds like an interesting project!

    Banded Cricket raising

http://www.tophatcrickets.com/whats-new/banded-crickets/2015/08/how-care-your-gryllodes-sigillatus-crickets-banded-crickets This may be useful as well? I was just doing a bit of research and they have quite a bit of information (including explaining why glass isn't the best option for crickets)

    Banded Cricket raising

I keep the babies in the big cricket keeper and then the adults in a rubbermaid tin. I don't know how much exactly you need but i have a hole on the top maybe 3x6 and then on the sides 2x3 (around there, i didnt measure anything) and I put mosquito screen over the holes.

    Banded Cricket raising

I've always heard rubbemaid with holes or maybe an aquarium with a screen top? The humidity is bad for them and it makes them smell worse if I remember correctly

    Safe plants for enclosures

Okay thank you! I'm going to take a cutting from my hibiscus and then I'll probably buy a pothos or something from the store :)

    Safe plants for enclosures

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I have a hibiscus I can take a cutting of for her cage but I'll probably take a trip to home depot for a pothos or something. I was just hoping someone could identify any of them :)

    Safe plants for enclosures

I have these plants but I don't have and tags of what they are so I can't look up if they're safe or not but I have some pictures if anyone can help identify them?

    New Feeders?

What is GBR? Also BSFL? I'm new to this and I'm looking into other things besides my crickets because they're loud and smelly.

    Overweight veiled?

I didn't see anything in the bin and she willingly climbed onto my hand from her bin. I'll be keeping an eye on her but right now she doesn't seem to be showing any signs of being stressed or egg bound.

    Overweight veiled?

Thank you so much! This has eased some of my anxieties :) She's back in her cage. I'm going to look into getting a better fitting laying box for inside the enclosure (right now it's very tall) I've covered her cage with a towel and I'll see if anything changes. She still hasn't seemed too...

    Overweight veiled?

Alright, thanks! I'll keep an eye out for those signs. She's still been pretty active and she's been well hydrated. I have noticed that she hasn't been eating as readily, but that could be due to stress

    Overweight veiled?

I did that and I couldn't feel anything but I could never. Are they pretty noticeable? Also she recently got the yellow and blue on her, do I just have my timing wrong?
