Thank you for your reply.
Well, for 1 day my panther boy had his mouth open almost consistently, not wide, sort of casually but frequently. And for part of another day consecutive. He did not open his mouth today except once for 10 seconds. He has no raspy sounds, or sticky saliva. He isn’t...
Hello,
How can you tell the difference between a chameleon venting excess heat by opening its mouth OR a chameleon that is developing a respiratory infection?
Thanks
That sounds great. I did plant a tray of grass awaiting its germination to provide some natural feel. I will add bark n such thank you for your reply. And by ‘egg flats’ you mean egg carton??
Is a picture possible??
yeah,,,that’s what I’ve seen on YouTube and that’s the reason for my post. That’s not been my experience I dunno why. It seems simple to me....maybe I’m doing something wrong?? The meal worms are thriving???
Hello,

They are in a ‘classic’ set up, a plastic drawer with wheat bran and oats, a little dish of...
@kinyonga. Yes! That’s a brilliant answer. That makes perfect sense for insects that may eat other insects therefore have a more abundant calcium content. Thank you
Yes, I think to go with what works for the majority of the experienced is what is best. Thank you for your replies. I think the regime you mentioned is well balanced.
Wow. What nice answers. Thank you. It just seems excessive to me for some reason. A human also requires calcium but if taken too much it builds up in the kidneys and behold the kidney stone. Thank you again
Hi,
My question is a seemingly stupid one. I am learning about the proper supplementation regime from all you fine chameleon folk and I would like to know why is it that chameleons require *daily* calcium? I understand why we give ‘extra’ calcium for the PO4 balance but what’s the diff in nature?
