    plants?!

What about Lucky Bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana)? I have some I left my Veiled crawl on occasionally. @Ryan - You should definitely add those plant varieties to the plant DB here on the site.

    Handling...

That's how Theodore used to be until he reached about 10 months. Then he just went completely loco and doesn't want to interact anymore. I'm trying the technique of keeping my hand near him but not close enough that it causes him stress. He really hates it when I mist his cage and associates...

    Enclosure Photos?

I don't know if you can tell by the photos, but the enclosure is around 30"x30"x48". It's huge! And I didn't notice this was a thread for Mellers owners. It's for my Veiled. :)

    Enclosure Photos?

Here! It's not a great view of the setup, but you get the idea. I've since added a Pathos to the enclosure as well for some extra cover.

Chameleon Colouration - What Affects it?

So I had a few questions about Cham colourations. What sort of factors effect them? I've seen Veiled's take on very vibrant colours in Photos from the forums here but I've not seem much other than orange, yellow, and green from my boy. While I realize this isn't particularly uncommon, it still...

    Handling...

I'm very interested in reading this. My cham has become very anti-social as of late, and I'd like to make him a little more Civil with me.

    Progress with a cham /w a attitude !

Great to hear! I think I'm going to try this myself. I can't get over the fact that if I need to remove him in an emergency it would be exceedly difficult. Best to keep him civil (but not necessarily friendly!) with you.

    Veiled Chameleons and Hibernation/Brumation

This is a facinating topic for sure and a great read. I definitely noticed a marked change in the activity of my Veiled during the very pronounced transition from Winter to Summer up here in Canada. I was just wondering, what kinds of changes do you make to your Chams environment during the...

Shedding - How Often is too Often?

Okay, I'll keep that in mind about the misting. I'll make sure to be keeping the humidity level up. How high should it be on average? I'll have to keep in mind what I'm feeding him and try to get him some suppliments. I think you're right about not misting enough and I'm going to add an extra...

Shedding - How Often is too Often?

Exo Terra I believe. Is there a better brand I should be using? I would definitely remove fish food from the equation? Done. Fortunately, I use the fish food very infrequently so I don't think it's much of an issue. I use fresh fruits and vegatables 95% of the time. Thanks for the link to...

    The Messy Introductions!

I think so. I'm not sure to be honest. I had Calcium suppliment left over from my original baby (Eugene) that didn't make it. I'm 95% sure it's cal + d3 suppliment however. When I first got him he was suprisingly social. Constantly when I would to to feed him he would dart (as fast as chams...

Shedding - How Often is too Often?

Cage Type - 3'x3'x5' (i think... maybe larger. It's rather large) Lighting - One heat bulb (120W I think?) and Two Flourecent Bulbs - one with full specrtum UV for the plants and one specific tropical reptile UV bulb. Temperature - Honestly, I don't know. Humidity - Spraying twice a day...

    The Messy Introductions!

Hello Everyone! I'm front Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I've just joined up here and wanted to tell you about my boy Theodore. He's my second attempt at keeping a Cham and I've had him since Octoboer. The first one died quite young due to an accidental ingestion of substrate. I've learned my lesson...

    New cage, HOORAY!!

Be careful with that transparent cup. I hear that chams can try to attack prey they can see outside the cup and hurt themselves.
