Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - t Sternfeldi, male, guessing young, don't know exact age. Had him for about a month?
Handling - Every couple days, he will willingly climb onto my hand?
Feeding - At this point only crickets, Calcium dusted daily, calcium with D every other week...
Should I be worried? My little T Sternfeldi is hanging upside down from one of his branches, with his eyes closed, it's still light out, not nighttime.
Couple questions actually. Is it normal for a cham to have urates with no poop?
Also, my cham just pooped and there was no white stuff, but there was a lot of liquid, is this normal?
He is a t. sternfeldi, not sure his age.

Hello
I have a small male Trioceros sternfeldi, I'm trying to find alternate food sources (beyond just crickets) that I can breed. I have acquired some stick bugs, and was thinking about breeding isopods and snails. He won't eat meal worms (which is okay because they aren't that good...
I know she's dehydrated too, I've managed to get some water in her already. We picked up an exoterra 26w (former Repti Glo 5.0 compact). When I told the lady about the issues, she gave her to me, I bought her enclosure.
I went to look at a Cham from a for sale site, and found this little girl?

What can I do for her? She had no UVB bulb (has one now, in a dome fixture, is that okay?) and had a bowl for drinking, no calcium supplements.
Thanks for the input. As I'm in Northern Canada I will wager it was not found outside, our local pet stores actually suggest anole as a food source for larger chameleons.
Tomorrow I will endeavour to catch the little pest, without completely destroying the terrarium.
I was wondering if the Jackson care sheet would be the best to use for this species? I read something stating the species are very similar for husbandry.
Perhaps odd question, but the enclosure I got had a larger chameleon in it, a fair sized veiled, and the owners got an anole to feed it, well, it didn't get eaten and is still in my terrarium, I have a tiny tiny chameleon, that won't be eating it anytime soon, if ever. My question, could my...
I do have a large layer of hydroballs under the soil, with mesh in between. The soil is not covering the front vents, I made sure of that, and I plan on picking up stones this weekend to cover the soil. I cup feed, so I'm not too concerned with impaction. I did some research on the needs of...
I have recently become the proud new owner of a baby (ish?) chameleon. I'm told its a Trioceros sternfeldi (from this forum). He seems to want out all the time. He frequently hangs out at the front of the enclosure, at the door (ExoTerra) and if I open it, and give him my hand, he'll crawl...
Yes sorry, I do plan on putting in a drainage layer, what I meant is there is no drainage out of the enclosure, I'm concerned that the water sitting below the soil layer will cause problems.
Hello
I'd like to plant live plants directly into my enclosure. Please any advice on doing this? I know that I need to cover the soil (was thinking with rocks) but would like advice or experiences with regards to moisture. There is no drainage in the bottom of the ExoTerra, will excess...
Here's the enclosure. I need to get rocks on the soil of the one plant, and we're looking into a fogger or mister system, right now I hand spray multiple times a day.

Hello All
I just found out I have a Trioceros sternfeldi, and I'm wondering what the best food for him is. He is eating crickets like a champ, but I'd like to get more variety.
Also, where is the best place to get food for him in Canada?
Here's my little guy.[/IMG]
