I understand and appreciate all of your help. My husband wants to cut into the shell. I feel like this is a bad idea but I may be wrong. Is opening the shell at this point going to change anything or just risk the small chance that it survived?
For the record, I did put the lid back on and put it back in the closet although I know that it may be too late to be of any good. I'm going to give it a little more time and hope for the best. If anyone thinks that there is something better to be done, please let me know.
It was being incubated in a dark cabinet but when it started to sweat we moved it out onto the counter and removed the lid. A lot more light as well. Should we put them back in the cabinet with the lid back on?
