I've had Harvey for almost 4 years. In the past few days he decided to stop eating completely and move to the bottom of his cage. His color darkened and he didn't look well. I had an appointment at the vet this morning at 11 am, but he didn't make it to the vet. I went to put him in a box to...
I'd drop him off either on the 17th or 18th of december and would need him to be watched until the 4th of janurary. I'm not sure if the PM sent to you panthercham.
I'm in need of a cham sitter for my male veiled from the 18th of december until the 5th of janurary. I'm in San Diego, CA, and am flying home. The airlines won't allow me to bring on a chameleon :(. I'll gladly bring my setup over to your place and pay for your services. If you're available, put...
Anyone know of anyone petsitter services at all for chams in San Diego? I only need someone to watch him for a couple of weeks, and can bring my whole setup over and pay for your services.
Hey,
I have a male veiled cham and am going to be flying home soon from san diego. The air lines won't allow me to bring him on the plane, so I am looking for someone in the San Diego area to babysit him while I am gone, a little less than a month. I'll pay you for your services and can bring...
I'm glad I found these forums, everyone's helpful and some are even willing to take care of my chameleon :)! I'll make another forum to find someone to take care of my veiled in a couple of weeks or so, when the date gets closer to when I have to leave.
Just curious summoner12, I saw that...
Wow this thread has gotten a ton of hits lol, much more than I expected. I'm flying up north and the airline only allows dogs and cats, not chameleons :(. I'll look into finding someone on here to take care of my cham, when it gets closer to thanksgiving.
For the record, I have an...
Yeah I have some hornworms and butterworms. I'll let them roam around the cage probably and I'll set up a leaf so it collects/pools the water from the droplets. I heard that veiled chams are the hardiest of all the chams to.
Yeah, I don't want anything to happen to my cham at all. I'd be devastated if something did. That's why I was thinking of building an automated system controlled by my pc here. I could than use a remote desktop program of some type and control this computer from afar to control a misting system...
Hey guys,
I'm down in san Diego at college with my veiled cham. I normally hand mist him 5 times a day and he has a live ficus too. I'm going to be gone for 6 days for thanksgiving. No one will be able to mist him, all are going home.
How can I keep my cham hydrated for 6 days? I was...
I never got a distinct answer from them, between getting put on hold constantly and transferred like 5 times between people to ask them, none of them had an answer. I think I am just going to put them in my pocket in a small ziplock and than transfer them to a little bin in my carry on. I'm...
I'm traveling from southern CA to northern CA tomorrow and I want to bring my brother all these extra hornworms (maybe 25 of them) i have that are to big for my cham to eat. I tried calling the airlines but no one knows, and they keep transferring me to different people.
Would I get screwed...
I just ordered a 24"x24"x48" diy cage, and I wanted to know where I can find a linear light hood locally. Would home depot have them for a decent price? and how large of a hood should I buy? I figure 24" hood. Thanks.
I'm redoing my cage right now, cleaning everything out. It's a cage I built out of redwood and aluminum screen mesh, on the bottom of the cage is a piece of plexiglass. Should I just use paper towels on the bottom as they would be easy to change out?
thanks
heh I was thinking about attempting to breed hornworms, but it seems like to much work, would rather just raise silk's from eggs.
Does anyone want these hornworms? I can send pics to if you would like. FREE by the way :). Would rather give them to someone who could use them.
I was thinking about that, but I dont know if my veiled could eat the moths, they may grow to big for him. He's about 4.5" long, not including tail. He's maybe 4 or 5 months old. Do you think they will be to big for him? And how would i go about keeping the moths, should i get a small...
