So I just realized I put Furcifer Pardalis Nosy Be instead of Furcifer Pardalis Nosy Faly. My 4 month old is a Nosy Faly and I feel like an idiot for putting Nosy Be.
Is there a way to edit it?
Wow I even mistyped mistyped! lol
Those are some really amazing plants. Straight out of a sci fi movie some of them lol. On the pic of your veiled is that a petco thermometer? if so are those doing good? I saw some the other day they were 40% off or something was tempted to buy some.
Thanks good answers. I suppose reptisun is my best option. Those other bulbs are too risky and I'd rather buy something expensive that works for my cham than something cheap that I'd have to do more work trying to figure out the UV measurements.
Reptisun wins :D
I guess there is no other bulbs out there then? That link was a bad example. My real question was is there any other good kind of bulb other then reptisun, reptiglo, etc. that produces UVB at lowes or home depot? Like say for gardening? And if so does anyone use them?
I'd like to edit the...
Yes that's true. But that was just a random example but say you found one just like that with uv. I mean are reptisun's etc the only kind of bulb with those qualities? Just wondering
I was just curious if anyone ever uses non-reptile brand uvb bulbs for their chameleon? (Delete Link example do to misleading question)
Or some other brand that is not reptisun but has the same uv output and wattage, etc. ? I just wanted to know if we MUST buy the expensive reptisun bulbs or...
lol yea I read how much it lasts in the fridge on the bottle. I'm asking how long does it last outside the fridge. Lets say I don't have that many crickets and they didn't eat much so far. How long will it stay good before I have to change slabs? :)
Just wanted to know how long does a small eraser size slab last when in the cricket keeper? How long will it stay good WITHOUT being in the fridge?
Thank you :D
Is that Repashy bug burger i see? Stuff is delicious! :D I have hibiscus that grow in my backyard. I just realised that when I was looking up safe plants for chams. One question. How are you planning to deal with drainage? I'm using newpaper and papertowels for now until I get my water liner.
If that's loose substrate at the bottom I would say that set up is shady right off the bat. Anyone who's done alittle research on Cham setups knows what I'm talking about.. >_> <_< :/
I would say no. If most people get a zoo med screen cage it shouldn't be out of the ordinary. Maybe the guy at the reptile store was pulling sh*t out of his arse, cough cough* Good thing I got the 5.0 just in case. :D
Yea we got lucky because it was normally $48 but the one we wanted didn't come with a pot for some reason. But I have lots of pots here so I went for it. :)
I have a Zoo Med Screen Cage 16x16x30 like this:

My question is what kind of UVB Bulb should I use to penetrate this thick aluminum mesh? I have a 5.0 and a 10.0. People at the Reptile Store tell me to use a 10.0...
AHAHAA yea I got this at Armstrong Garden Center. It was $24.99 :) I had already got a regular dwarf umbrella but was unimpressed with the branching. I don't want my little guy to be bored. The bonsai looks way more fun! :D
I just bought a Bonsai Schefflera Arboricola from a Garden Store. I wanted to know if anyone uses this style for their Chameleon, specifically Panther Chameleon. The branches on it look nice and thick for climbing unlike the regular Schefflera A. Dwarf umbrella I bought from Lowes. Just...
