UPDATE
Dave has been at the vet since 5pm with the little one and I just got word that he finally talked to the vet at around 6:30. We will keep you updated.
in some of the pics they do look sunken in. I am no expert but I know a member on here that is pretty good with Veilds. I will contact him and ask him to take a look.
Thanks for all the info I have the temp right and water source the same (wet paper towel in a cup) and the top of the container is set on loose but maybe they arent getting enough air.
We hatched a lot of pinheads and kept food and water in the container for them but it seems that they are dying? Any suggestions on keeping them alive?
I have been reading this thread and have also noticed that my female has the samething. She has never fell while we have had heard mine has two rows of these bumps. I don't k ow the skeletal structure of Chams but could their rib cage be hinged? Just a thought.
Ok I have read and read now I need to ask a question. We are building new larger cages for our Chams to allow us to put some live plants in for them. My question is what are the thoughts on using Plastic Hardware Cloth instead of screen or mesh? I know that it has larger holes but if we cup feed...
Thanks for the info. we do have a divider between them so that they can not see eachother. We are going to build them larger cages and will definately have seperate light fixtures then we just wanted to make sure that the Repti-glo 5.0 will give them what they need.
We have an 18" UVB Tubular light for both our cages, which means that each cage gets 9" of the bulb.
QUESTION: Is this enough or should we have individual lights for each cage?
We want to make sure that they get the needed amount of light so they can be big and strong/healthy.
I am so sorry to hear about your baby. I had to put my baby of 12 years to sleep a year ago Jan. He had cancer and had stopped eating or even getting up without being proded. I know how hard it is to loose these babies that mean so much to you but we just have to believe they are in doggie...
We have had our Veilds for about 3 weeks also at first they were in the livingroom so we could look at them but they seemed to be stressed all the time so we finally put them in their own room and we go in 3-4 times a day to take care of them. They seem to be a lot better and not stressed. So I...
My male has white head. It sort of looks like dry skin. He shead a week ago but I didn't notice if his head shed I thought it did. But cant exactly remember. Any ideas? Anything I need to do?
