    Re-done flex

I asked in another thread and was told it would be ok? It's a 100 gal flex and the baby is 2 months old. I intend hand feeding to be sure he gets his food, is that what you're concerned about?

    Dusting advice required

Well the Calcium carbonate is just pure calcium as far as I'm aware so I'd use that one daily then. Both Repton and Nutrobal are multivitamins and contain D3 so should I use one of those once or twice a month?

    Dusting advice required

We're collecting a 2 month old Yemen on Monday and I'd like some advice on dusting. I currently have to hand: 100% natural Calcium Carbonate Euro Rep Repton Dusting Supplement Nutrobal (calcium balancer & multivitamin) The first 2 I've used with my frog for well over a year now. The...

    Digital Thermometers

I like digitals purely because they're so much easier to read.

    Re-done flex

Cleaned out and totally re-done the flexarium ready for the young Yemen that we're buying on Monday. The basking area has got a lot of inter-crossing vines. Hard to see but some go from front to back and some side to side. Will be adding a few more vines once we have them. We have a Pothos but...

    Caring for young Yemens?

Can I just check, is 80F the correct basking temperature for a 2 month old? At what age should the temp be increased? I've cleaned the flex and repositioned everything, all that's left is getting the right height for the basking bulb.

    Caring for young Yemens?

I've just reserved a 2 month old male yemen :) Should be collecting him on Monday. Gives me the weekend to disinfect the flexarium, plant leaves and make sure it's all ready to go.

    Basking?

Without an autopsy I don't know. There's a thread in the health section somewhere. Basically Tuesday morning he started swinging by his back legs, puffing up and hissing as though he was seeing something he didn't like. He did that 3 or 4 times throughout the day and then come evening in the...

    Basking?

This Chameleon died at the start of the week. Thank you for replying though and I'll take all points into consideration when setting up for our next one.

    Caring for young Yemens?

Can I not chop the morios up small and hand feed them? Snake seems to be doing fine. Not striking any more :)

Ok, I'll bear that in mind when buying, thank you.

    Caring for young Yemens?

Why no less than 2 months old? From what I can see the for sale section is all american based. I only know of one place "local" to me, other breeders seem to be hours away.

    Caring for young Yemens?

As you'll know if you followed my recent posts, our 20 month old Yemen that we'd only had for a little over a week passed away at the start of this week. I'm hoping to be able to acquire another Yemen next week/week after, this time it will be a young one. I understand that up to 3 months...

    Lethargic & poor grip

Thank you but that's a bit far. I know of a reptile shop in Bham that has bred some, so we'll look there first when we have the money.

    Lethargic & poor grip

Thank you all. I have decided to buy another and will be taking your advice and buying a young one. Not sure when this will happen as I have a few other money commitments to resolve first. I'll have to read up on caring for young ones and no doubt I'll have a few more questions soon. I...

    Strange behaviour

He wasn't in a draft, we have double glazed windows. I posted in the health section last night as he went down hill very rapidly. Unfortunetly he has since passed away. Right now I'm not sure he'll be replaced. I thought we were doing well with him, he seemed to have settled in fine. We'll...

    Lethargic & poor grip

Yes we only bought him on the 24th. As for the monstera I can't see cant bite marks in it. It's a young plant and has no fruit.

    Lethargic & poor grip

In the time it took to find our yelloepages last night to look for a vet he'd already passed away. We're both devistated :( To answer a few questions: He was pooping regulalry and only that morning I'd cleaned up a fresh one. I'm told the Reptisun's last 12 months, I know some of you replace...

    Lethargic & poor grip

That's an old burn he got when he was young and it healed or so I'm told.
