up date on my thermostate - we think it was the fuse - just watching the temp now - see how it goes - fingers crossedx

its gone up to 92, so i have turnes it off, as i am going out for a few hours i'll turn it back on when i get home - thanks for your help - again! danniu x

yeah, he can get high enough to the uv. if the temp get's too hot where he is basking, should i turn the light off for a few hours, then back on a bit later? i cant believe i'm such an idiot - hope my hubby can fix it!

i've attached some pictures of the light set up, i have 2x reti glo 5.0 & now 35w sun glow halogen daylight lamp. i have moved his branches 7" away from the light & the temp is ranging between 82 7 84

sorry, should have also said, that i am whating the temp on a digital thermoter, at the moment he is not in the viv, the temp is 87

No, not inside, the light is on the top of the viv (outside & above) so it also sits up quite high & yes, its on a dimer thermostate. many thanks for your reply - i just wanted to double check that i was doing every thing right - & it seems i am! thank you danni x

at the moment my heating is on 24hours a day, so night time temps in his viv are in the low 60's, when it warms up abit the heating will be off at nightk so will keep my eye on things
