Haha thanks all!
Some young children have problems handling a guinea pig without squeezing it to death...so a chameleon makes perfect sense.
Not too pleased atm.
Went to Petco, and saw a young family picking out a baby veiled chameleon. I was interested to see the babies, of course, so I lingered. I then heard them say that it was for their 4 year old daughter. The wife says "Hmm... that one seems shy, but I'm sure he'll get used to...
I would give it a couple days, at the very least. You should let him acclimate in his new enviroment for 2 weeks.
Grats on your baby! Post some pics so we can all "Awwww!" :D
He's growing fast!
When he's pissed, I definitely see more orange in him.
He's 50% Sambava, 25% Ambilobe and 25% Nosey Be.
His sire is Odo from Kammerflage.
I found a place up in here in Alaska (gasp!) that breeds crickets.
She gutloads her crickets on rodent food/cat food.
Is that safe for chams?
I'm amazed at the difference in just a few days!
Got Zulu on Wednesday. Literally have sat by his enclosure and have watched him for hours already. I own two bearded dragons as well, and even though they're pretty cool, they don't 'capture' me like this guy. (Sorry Isis and Anubis! <3)...
