Wowwww she's really beautiful!
I love when female panthers have those orangey creamy peach color. Nom nom nom I could just eat her!
But I won't...
I agree that she has plenty of space and she's able to hide, so that's great!
I might add that it could be easy for crickets to hide in there as well. This shouldn't be a big issue as long as you're aware of how much she's eating, and making sure crickets don't roam around her cage at night...
KHAL DROGO!
Luckily he's friendlier than his namesake! :D
We gotta find that boy a Daenerys and make some dragon babies!
P.S. I'm sorry I can't help you out with your questions, I'm not very familiar with panthers.
Ultimately, you know yourself better than anyone on the forums so you will know for sure if you have the time, energy, and passion for a chameleon.
I spend a significant amount of daily time on my chams and their enclosures but it never feels like a chore. I love it. :D
Even with tons of...
You did tell me that, totally called it.
I'm glad you said that because I've been weighing out the pros and cons of taking him to the vet. I think it would be VERY stressful for him, he's not very "friendly". He trusts me enough to hand feed but definitely puts his angry colors on when I...
Hahaha! Little man syndrome :D that's great.
My veiled hasn't bitten me yet, but if any of my pets were to bite me it'd be him for sure. Although my veiled was my first, and I definitely wanted to "tame" him.
Maybe it's reverse psychology? ;)
I am definitely jealous of those of you who live in Florida! i used to make fun of my aunt and uncle for retiring there, and now of course it's one of my goals :P
Although I do remember going all Steve Irwin on a rattlesnake as a kid, i dont have that many cool reptile experiences here in the...
Hi there,
Welcome to the forums. I'm Maya. :)
This blog should be a good read:

You've probably already read these but I'll include them just in case:

You've definitely helped me out a dozen times :D those of us that are less experienced are beyond lucky that you're so generous of heart, as are our chams.
Pretty sweet!
Didn't take long to get to that Pascal fan art haha :D gotta love that little guy. It's such a shame Tangled didn't seem to take off the way Frozen did, but that's another subject...
My girlfriend doesn't have that same cool watercolor style like in the first few shots, but...
I wasn't sure if there's a way to update/edit a previous thread title, but here's a link to my thread about Anarchy's toe - https://www.chameleonforums.com/black-mass-under-veileds-toe-nail-139862/
I've put polysporin on it, and today I noticed the toe nail is gone, as is the black stuff that...
Haha I really lucked out with this guy!
He's always let me hand feed but I never really tried to pet or handle him. Lately he's been showing me some adventurous behaviors though :)
Thanks Frank! Can't wait to see more pictures of your chams and museum! ;)
Today I went to hand feed my carpet chameleon, Telo, a cricket today (I fed him yesterday but offered him one anyway).
To my surprise, he by-passed the crickets and walked straight onto my hand, up my arm and perched himself on my shoulder. I realized I had some sunlight from the window on me...
Yeah, you're right.
I can't take him in for another week though, is there anything I can do for him until I get paid? I'd like to help prevent it from getting worse if at all possible...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male, Veiled, 2 1/2 years old, with me 2 years.
Handling - Never. He lets me hand feed him and I can lure him out of his cage but that's pretty much it.
Feeding - Mostly crickets, gut loaded with dino fuel and various fresh dark greens depending on what I get...
