Haha that's crazy! I've arranged various sticks around his cage so he has a kind of route to follow, and not end up lost. Also I can pick up the sticks if I have to leave the room for a while or take him outside :P
I hope you guys had fun and your little dude can get some more outdoors time :)...
My guy does that every day around 1030-1130am lol.
I suspect it's hunger or he wants the exercise because he doesn't linger there after eating and letting him out.
Yeah, he did a fantastic job. I also really enjoy your blogs. "Info for new keepers" helped me out a lot, and so did your blog about egg laying (for the first months I thought he was a lady :o)
I agree, and I'm so happy there's this site with such amazing information and tips. Everyone here...
A month ago my little guy Anarchy was super afraid of me and I would hide behind a plant to watch him eat, drink, and explore without him knowing I was there.
After about a week, I got him to eat a cricket from a pair of chop sticks. It was amazing. Fast forward through short insect tongs...
My guys the same age :D and his last shed I could see the hint of where his yellow bars are going to be, and he's been developing some white lines which I think look so super cool.
Most of the time he's grey though. I accidentally scared him the other day (I tried to add a stick to his...
Thanks! Those plants haven't been in there for long, I actually put them in because I was worried it's because he wasn't feeling hidden enough. :o oh well.
I'll take them out and replace them with something live or at the very least darker.
The hand-feeding is going really well! In the past...
I hope that's the case, although he did shed during this awkward time and returned to being greyish.
I'll try feeding him a couple more crickets a day, maybe add some extra silkworms.
I'm hoping that as that pothos grows, I can use it for more coverage for him, and until then I'll find...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled, Male, I'm guessing 4-5 months? Been in my care for two.
Handling - Rarely, last time was to move him into a new cage.
Feeding - 4 medium crickets a day, the latest I might feed him is 3pm, although it's usually around 11-12. Dinofuel + varied greens...
Congratulations on the no-hissing factor! :)
I'm trying to get my guy to get a bit used to me as well. I haven't used a branch to get him out, although I've lured him to come out on his own with meal worms.
I hope he continues to become more comfortable and happy around you!
I don't know about bulbs, but Video Master mentioned that dual bulb fixture from lightyourreptiles?
Also, they have a lot of led options which I believe use less power?
I use magnets for so many things, they're so easy to use.
I'd recommend that as well. For lighter things, I use the small craft magnets from Michaels or Hobby Lobby. If it needs to be heavier, magnaturals also sells their super magnets.

I use the bird ladders as well, but I added some of those bamboo rods people use to secure vines and other plants, adding some perpendicular across the top and bottom, so he could use it to get from one side of his cage to the other.
My veiled loves it :) and I draped some vines across parts...
I currently have a bougainvillea and a schefflera in my veiled chams cage, and while the schefflera appears fine I think my bougainvillea needs some more lighting action.
However, I don't know much about grow lights or how certain wattages will affect little Anarchy.
What works for you guys?
Thank you so much!
I noticed some indentations in the dirt of her umbrella plant, but as I stated before she's not sexually mature.
Is it possible that she's trying to lay anyway? I haven't seen her digging, but I'm not really surprised by that since she's super shy.
I went ahead and got...
