Wow man that is strange ..I have noticed seperated shshades of green in this species but not blotches..
My bet would be the new sticks or soil since that was the only thing that changed...that thermal burn on the side is kinda a weird place to get a burn considering there was one on the upper...
That is great ..mine is precisely the same but instead with an aquarium pump and a minute timer attached to it. It is currently watering two cages.
I just got it running today and it works fantastically...was so easy and cheap to set up too...and it is so more natural to have actual rain pour...
Never...if I were you I would be very careful as you might be getting yourself into a situation that gets out of control..
You might have to prepare a room instead of just a spot for a cage!!
Great ...that is what I am aiming for as just received a submersible water pump as the diaphragm pump I have is way too strong to make rain...
Can wait to see pics ...if you can post a vid instead it would be better
Very well organised and definatey a great method to raise give "personal" attention.
Up until now I have never bred but hopefully I am on the way to having a gravid female...raising individually would definately be the way to go for me !
Hi there. Chameleons only have a basic brain that mostly decifers its surroundings as threatening or non threatening. It also recognises food and body language apart from a few others.
Having said that, they do not feel emotions such as love or friendship so interaracting with your cham Is...
Great post. I have been wondering about this issue for ages and was going to start a thread some time ago but got sidetracked at work
...if you look up\google basic chamelon care it says that they need to be misted but what it does not indicate is the difference in species.
I fully agree with...
I would like to congratulate you on the good work your doing ..you are taking all the right husbandry steps and I can see your determination to help this guy recover.
I have a feeling we are going to see a much healthier chameleon in a month or so..the change already shows from one PIC to...
A post I like to see :) mine was the same when I got him ...bite marks and retained shedding also ..his true colors came out after a couple of months and the brightness he emits is superb
The change came from the male mostly as after 15 mins in the sun with sight of the female , he started getting very alert and was bopping his head constantly. The female did not react much and was actually moving along with him. fingers crossed!
Unfortunately I do not have a basement so will...
Mine hate mist too...I'd suggest a rain dome insead.
They seem to be fine with water dripping...I have recently received a submersible water pump and working on a day rain system for the warmer days to come.
First comment : no photos ...
But it was unexpected .
I have been introducing my male multi to the female for the past month. The method I used was holding him on my hand and moving him in line of sight of the female with her being in her enclosure. There were also a couple of occasions...
not part of the crew here but...
I have a pair of K.Multi which I plan on breeding soon...female just layed an infertile clutch not long ago and would like to give some more time as have only had her for 4 months
Have a look at my thread in identification section called Identification of Kinyongia species. Cannot post link as posting this from my phone. It is a clear example that there are some females with more developed rostrals than others..
sorry just saw your reply now Chris ...Thanks for your response. Cannot wait until I get a sign that the eggs are fertile .
If they are not, after how long will they show signs of them going bad?
