I won't post all of them lol but here's a few to hopefully give you an idea..
3ish months old
7ish months old
One year old
Year and half and what I believe are his 'breeding colors'. He is not that bright right now but probably because he hasn't been outside all winter. But then again he...
I own a locale cross as well but he has several different locales. He has changed quite significantly over two years. Going from blue bars to red bars with increasing red rain after each shed. I can post a few pics of his progress or check out my progress thread.
He (she) will need minimal two weeks to get used to the new digs. Post a picture of it and fill out the form posted above so we can see the husbandry and if you need to make any adjustments.
What type of feeders? I'm not sure if oats are recommended (except for superworms, they eat oats and it can double as substrate). I'll have to try blending gutloads up and freezing. Currently I use 'cricket crack' for the dry portion and cut up small pieces of veggies and fruits. Seems to work...
I was actually going to tag you but didn't know if you were still active! You helped me identify a few species of butterflies a year ago including an Eastern tiger swallowtail caterpillar aka caterpie. (Which my panther did NOT enjoy once it released the foul odor)
You can do a quick search of the flora/fauna in your area and find appropriate branches to use. I use mainly poplar branches and cut them to size. I leave the bark and all on but visually inspect each one for bugs or whatever. Never had an issue..
I'm sorry but that's completely false. I catch butterflies in the warmer months and my panther is on them in seconds. You have to be very careful with identifying them. Many species will mimic the colors of toxic butterflies.
He looks normal to me and I'm pretty sure (like 95%) that some saliva is normal when they open their mouths in a defensive gesture. You could always fill out the help form so we know exactly what your husbandry is like.
My vote is for female as well. Those kits are a good starting point but lack many essential items for proper husbandry. One thing though, you don't need the dripper to run at night. I highly recommend a MistKing system, they are pricey but worth it in the long run. Get rid of the blue bulb and...
Man, there are a lot of awesome, distinctive chameleons!
From last spring/summer. Haven't seen these colors since. Hoping to see something similar this year when it warms up.
Depends on age. The younger they are, the more frequent and quicker they shed. When my guy was a few months old, his shedding lasted mere hours. Now he takes days to shed.
