I do agree not just any vet but an exotics vet that is familiar with chameleons and their illnesses. And good luck too you :)

If there is anything I know is regular vets are great for dogs and cats but ... exotics vet are specialized I would for peace of mind get a second opinion.

What size is the enclosure, lots of people don’t realize how much they move around but I would also recommend adding a lot more of Everything lol more hiding places fill the enclosure up, more branches.
