Hunter has been growing quite quickly so I decided it was finally time I get him a full size cage. It is 4ft x 2 x 2. It has a Benjamin ficus tree inside as well as some branches and space to climb. Suggestions are welcome on what I can add to make it even better!
the coloration is distinctly female, if you had a 3-4 month old male panther there would definitely be more color and less peachy tones. The bump under the tail that you see is not the hemipenal bulge you see in males, it is just the vent of the cham.
he also looks like he could eat small sized crickets maybe pinheads are too small for him to see or be interested in. There also looks to be a brown spot under his arm in the first picture, what is that?
ditch the mealworms they have little nutrition value and the hard exoskeleton can cause an impaction, especially for a cham that little. Has he been pooping?
my female veiled is named Blue, after one of the raptors from jurrasic world
my male ambilobe is named hunter because the day we got him he was a ferocious hunter of crickets
approx what temperature does your house get because chams do well when there is a temp drop at night and even if it is red colored they can still see it so it may be messing up his sleep.
if she is that close to her uvb light it could be irritating her eyes maybe try to get her out into some sunlight and away from the artificial bulb for awhile and It looks like you could use some more foliage and more misting. She shouldn't be going to sleep in a wet cage. will you post pictures...
this is the day hunter arrived, 4 months old around 7-8 inches
same day hunter arrived, timid and scared inside his new home
a week or so ago, hunter is now 6 months old, 11 inches and he gets to move into his full size cage this weekend!
ive been using ivy vines for my chams for months and nothing has happened but i didn't realize they were ivy. is it safe to use if there are no leaves and i dry out the vines ?
I bought 100 lg crickets and put them in my cricket keeper which I now realize was way too small and now all of them died. what do you guys recommend putting a bunch of crickets in? how do I breed crickets so I don't have to keep buying them?
