Can he have ingested a piece of fertilizer and this happened? He was a notorious plant/ dirt eater. I swapped soil when I got new plants but those little fertilizer balls would randomly pop up, that’s all I can think of. The vet is asking random questions about humidity which leads me to believe...
Plain calcium without d3 almost every feeding, not when feeding silkworms or hornworms , d3 once a month during the summer and twice a month during indoor
I’ve been feeding crickets, dubia roaches, super worms and hornworms as staples, vary insects gutloads from cricket crack, Arcadia insect fuel, fresh vegetables and fruits, big burger, big buffet, Arcadia 6% uvb , outdoor enclosures for real sunlight exposure ...
Hello everyone, I’m looking for advice about my 5 year old veiled Alfred, last week he all of a sudden got ill, he seems to have lost most of his ability to use his arms, he can’t stay up, he has trouble shooting his tongue, he can’t climb up and down to properly thermo regulate. Unfortunately I...
Beta carotene has not been proven to be turned into vitamin A. I have had issues with my panther lacking vitamin A ,
I always kept them at least 4 foot tall cage, 2 feet wide and deep , I had one in a 4 foot wide and 4 feet tall cage but he didn’t seem to use most of the cage .
Orrrrrrrr..... you can just let em be, enjoy them doing there thing. You can try hand feeding them and over time maybe they can tolerate you, I have a veiled that hates my guys a, love em.
I wouldn’t panic just yet, I don’t think the uvb is too strong I’ve raised my veiled on a 10.0 t5 hes 6 years old without eye issues. I would give your cham some time to adjust, if you’d rather use a 5.0 that would be fine, provide plenty of coverage on all zones for your cham to hide from the...
I’m currently building a bromeliad vivarium and I ran into some aquarium led fixtures that can provide a 24 hour light cycle including sunrise, sunset, and dark to no light, not to mention a lightning storm mode, for ever I thought these things where way too expensive from seeing a jungle...
Dry gut load and add a wet source like greens or fruits/vegetables , switch up your wet gut loads to provide diff vitamins for your feeders to pass into your cham
Chameleons do misstep sometimes and fall a little bit they usually catch a branch with a tail or leg, I’m wondering how his health is before the fall, I would make the trip to the vet, if you want to post your husbandry maybe we can see something stick out. Good luck
I Started my chameleons in their adult cages, but with smaller branches. There was never an issue , save the money unless you plan on breeding , just start with the cage you want, in the wild they have.... well, the wild and they do just fine.
You really should let your enclosure cycle and your plants take decent root, otherwise your Cham will trample them and possibly ruin all your hard work. Keep it in its current enclosure for a little while longer .
when my son was about 2-3 he picked up a bin of crickets I had and brought them to me while I was watching tv , I immediately jumped up and tried to negotiate with him but didn’t work, it freaked him out and he dropped them on the floor , I had to vacuum hundreds of crickets I just gut loaded
Dang, $150 for a veiled. We gotta be careful when using the price as a sign of a great breeder or clean colorful bloodline, if a 50-75 dollar Cham cost 3 times more I would of liked to see previous offspring that would show that I have a good chance at getting a super colorful Cham, like what...
