I have been giving him worms along with crickets. Is it still normal for hemipenes to come out when deficating, even if he is super hydrated? I'm dumb and didn't look for feces when he was awake, so I'll have to see if it's there tomorrow morning.
Also, as calcium is concerned, would you...

It's snowing here right now, and I swear if the power goes out I'll be knocking at my power generator owning neighbor's door until they let Mondo stay
Nope, that was the reason I was asking. Chameleons should always be able to get higher than eye level within their cages, it allows them to feel secure.
Hello,
I hope you and your chams are all well!
Recently I've been looking at some of the forum member's misting schedules and they don't match up with mine. I just want to make sure I'm doing everything right, I don't want dehydration nor risk of a respiratory issue.
I have a year(ish) old...
One question: It looks like from your picture angle that the cage is below eye-level... is it?
Also, I know you just got him, but be sure to fill up his cage with more chameleon safe plants and climbing branches to make the most of his cage space!

I don't really come to this thread with advice, but rather just the truth that chameleons, like humans, can have a wide range of personalities. Male Yemens are notoriously territorial and moody though. Best of luck getting him to warm up to you and sorry I couldn't be more of help... you're...
Not a problem! Chameleon forums saved my butt when I got my chameleon, so I'm more than happy to try to aid the community. Best of luck with your cham and never be afraid to ask more questions!

1. Yes, I personally do. Others use feeding cups. It's up to you
2. The first thing I have to say is slow down on the superworms! Superworms are for use as a treat rather than a meal. I recommend no more than 3 per week. And, on feeding frequency many on the forums recommend to feed what your...
I'm not sure about the truth of your friends statement, I doubt it but don't take my word for it. Anyways, I think it's great that you're looking to diversify your cham's diet! When it comes to the use of super worms, they're really only a treat, the dog biscuit of the chameleon world if you...
It depends on the type of chameleon. Some chameleons are sexable right out of the egg like panthers, while some like the meller's chameleon are very hard to sex even as adults. What species do you have? ^-^
Edit: I see it's a veiled now. Just by looking at the casque it looks like a she, but...
