Super worms are not the same as soft bodied worms. I would recommend against giving them to your chameleon more than once or twice a week. Feeding them more than that could lead to prolapse, not to mention they're just not all that healthy. The worms you want are Silkworms, Hornworms, and Black...
Is there anyway you could get access to hornworms and or silkworms? From my experience there is nothing more appetizing to chameleons than wriggling food.

Make sure to form a good relationship with your chameleon vet before he gets sick. It's a good idea to bring him in for a check up and a run a fecal when you get him. This forum has a handy list of vets in different states (and countries)...
Though they might not have executed it in the best way, the previous owner had the right idea about putting the chameleon on a stand. Chameleons feel most confortable when they are looking down at people, so it's a great idea to have them off the ground.

Does his cage have a lot of horizontal branches for him to sleep on? My chameleon usually prefers sleeping there, so I'm just making sure that's an option ^^

You can purchase a thermostat to program the temperature of the light. Zilla has a few. I'll look into the proper temperatures for a baby as I've never had a chameleon so young.
