How would a bioactive work? Would the dirt be exposed? I was under the impression that soil should be covered with rocks so the Cham doesn’t try to eat it. And can you do this in a screen cage?
You don’t want to use distilled, chams need the minerals that are naturally in the water. You should be able to find purified water at Walmart or another grocery store but if not you can use “Reptisafe” by zoomed. It will take out all of the chlorine and other harmful chemicals.
If you create a stand type thing with pvc tubes and bend a piece of corrugated plastic into a v shape you can channel the water into a container. One of the users on here touched on this in this video. It’s an ingenious idea really.
A bulb won’t stimulate breeding. Changes in temperatures do. Any bulb will work but the wattage you get depends on the temps the Cham you’re getting needs. Also, don’t get red, blue, or any night bulbs. Despite what the manufacturers say, they can see these and it messes with their sleep cycle.

You need a uv light no matter what. UVB does not go through windows and the Cham won’t be getting any being produced on lights on other enclosures. Also strip uvb lights are much better imo than lamps.
Hello! I'm creating this thread mostly to just clear up everything about impaction. I've always been told that eco earth is safe for reptiles even if they ingest it, but I recently came across a post from someone on these forums saying that anything can cause impaction unless it is bioactive...
