Need help with keeping crickets alive

This is 100% false. Please don't spread false info. 1) You still have to dust. 2) Those cubes are ok for hydration, but does not have enough nutrients that the crickets need to be eating.

    Update on enclosure!

Much better. But still needs a LOT more branches, vertically and horizontally.

    What plants??

    Schefflera abricola.

New enclosure and I need help.

This fixture is the best you can get IMO. Has all the UVB you need, as well as plant lights to help live plants grow. Little pricey but the bulb will last a year. Also, it has a built in timer, as well as blue LEDs, which I have set to stay on for half hour after lights go out. It gives my guy...

    Reptibreeze Back

I went to ACE Hardware and had them cut a piece of plexiglass that fit the back perfectly. I put it on the inside of the cage (this was before I put the cage together, so it made instal easier). I hot glued all the edges to the cage to keep it in place and so there are no cracks/space for water...

Tips for mounting a feeding dish?

Go to Home Depot and get some of those rare earth magnets. Super strong! http://www.homedepot.com/p/MASTER-MAGNETICS-1-2-in-Neodymium-Rare-Earth-Magnet-Discs-6-per-Pack-07046HD/202526367

    Places to get plants?

Chams like to be up at high as possible. That's why he likes being in the "open". Not because he likes it. He likes being up high. You definitely need more foliage up high for the little guy.

    Calvin's new home

Nice. Like you already said, get her more branches going in all directions. What are you using for UVB?

    Escaped Crickets!

Best bet is to get a bigger Rubbermaid tub, cut a hole in the lid and hot glue some aluminum screen to it. Just make sure the tub isn't that textured plastic. (not my pic btw)

    New enclosure first time owner

The dowels are super cheap. And they have different circumferences, which is also nice. But you know whats even cheaper than that? Branches from outside. ;)

    New enclosure first time owner

Looks pretty good, but keep an eye on the bamboo. They are slick so it can be hard for chams to grip them easily. Personally I think wooden dowels from Home Depot would be better...or branches from outside to give it a more natural look. Do you also plan on misting throughout the day? Basking...

Reptisun fixture size vs cage size

10.0 Reptisun is just fine. But as always, make sure there is foliage for the cham to get out of it if it pleases.

    Is my cage too dense??

I have mine potted in a decent sized pot. Make sure there are drainage holes in the bottom. If you have a saucer on the bottom, yank it off. First I put river rocks in the bottom about 1-2" deep. They are decent size so they won't fall thru the holes. You can get bags on them at Dollar Tree. I...

    Is my cage too dense??

Do you have a Stein's nearby? Mine always has them. Sometimes Home Depot will.

    Is my cage too dense??

Lewis says "awww, shucks". ;) Quick question for you all. If you notice, you can see water spots on my leaves. I use distilled water in mt misting system. I thought that would eliminated water spots.

    Is my cage too dense??

Thank you. The red flower is actually fake...got it from Hobby Lobby to add a little color. ;) As far as your schefflera goes, how do you have it planted and what does your misting and lighting look like?

Trouble with keeping plants alive in enclosure

Yup. This is key. For my schefflera, I have river rocks at the very bottom. Then a screen. Then the soil. Also make sure your pot is large enough to give the roots room to grow/breath.

    Is my cage too dense??

I know the issue many times with people's cages are they don't have enough branches or foliage in them. But I'm curious if there's such thing as "too much". My schefflera is quite full. Granted, Lewis (my panther) can easily work his way thru it, but I just wonder if he'd like it a little more...

Trouble with keeping plants alive in enclosure

Like said above, pothos. But if you wanna stick with a schefflera, get yourself a plant bulb. I have the quad light fixture from lightyoureptiles, and my schefflera grows like crazy.

    Large Atrium enclosure

Oh really? So it looks darker than their pic? Still odd that that don't offer this specific enclosure in black like their others. All my enclosures are black, so I'd like things to match. How is the quality of the DS compared to Zoomed Reptibreezes? Is it more sturdy? Less gaps in the doors?
