Here is a picture of his urate if anyone else has anything else to try and or chime in on. I am at a complete loss here. I will upload a current video of his progress but I don't see it getting much better. He seems to always be shaking when he is about to project and always misses. Short little...
everything except the liquid calcium has been in use since we got him. Ive had a previous one with this issue, breeder swapped. The new cage is being set up now and hopefully this fixes. If not, he may be going to a new home with a friend with much more free time then me. Im just not home a lot...
I will be more then likely getting rid of the chameleon. I do not have the time to consistently hand feed everyday as required. This is the best option. Can't seem to find what wrong or the issue so this would be the best option as I work a ton and no one else is really home half the days.
I'm straying away from injury or those sorts due to the fact this is two from same breeder doing exact same thing and fellow above mentioned he has two also from same breeder and one possibly from the same clutch doing great and drilling crickets. Idk maybe he doesn't like the cage he's in.
I have tried that. He stretches out as far as he can on his rear legs and shoots his tongue maybe 3/4"-1" and that's the max. Misses each time also when he does this. Maybe some more vitamins will help him out. Gonna get a multivitamin like suggested and see where it goes from here on out. I...
This is older before we got the new chameleon. No more water dish or bedding. I've added two new live plants to the bottom of the tank and extend up some branches. Also a vine adding more hiding areas in the center. I actually just got to work so don't have a as of now picture.
Yea we got the red bar also so you possibly have one from the same clutch. Idk. I'm starting to think its something I'm doing but as soon as we got the second one home this issue starting happening right away as we fed him as soon as we got home and he did this exact thing ever since now.
I met up with the father a week after the show to swap the older one out and he didn't seem interested to see the videos. It was like ten degrees I understand that. Not sure if they are members or not. Do you know??
Still doing the same thing. Watched him chase crickets for 30 minutes just earlier and decided to hand feed him so he can get some food in him.

This is a quick clip. This is essentially what he does. This was the first one though. This one does the exact same thing. Hard to know when they are gonna chase a cricket so I am using this one.

I have been cup feeding for a few days and would try free ranging one day thinking maybe it will start going away but no luck. I will buy a multivitamin and see where that leads. When he is hand fed and eating from the cup he eats plenty about 10-12 crickets. Just seems odd that I would get two...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - 3-4 month Amibilobe Panther. I have had this one in my care for 7 days right now.
Handling - Minimal, open the cage to mist and he climbs up to drink water. Handles once since 2 since arrival.
Feeding - Feeding mostly on Crickets, few super worms for now...
I have a 3-4 month old ambilobe panther cham. We had a previous issue with the same type of cham and spoke with the breeder and he swapped him out to watch the issue and see what was wrong. Currently our new cham seems to be doing the same exact thing.
He uses his tongue maybe a 1/2" just to...
Went with a dragon strand large keeper cage, ledges and the substrate bottom, with can be easily removed whenever an excess of water collects or needs cleaning. Will post all pictures as soon as it arrives.
