    Over Active?

Thank you! That makes me less worried haha! I've been feeding him dubia roaches and superworms, but will try feeding him hornworms and silkworms!

    Over Active?

For around a week, Bort has been really active. Such as crawling around his cage and being really eager to get out. Whenever I open his cage to feed him, he almost instantly climbs onto my hand or try to crawl onto the open screen door. I have no clue why. I got him April 2nd and he was born...

    Fogger Lifespan?

So in May/April I have gotten a ReptiFogger. For some reason it is getting crappier and crappier. Started out good, but throughout time it had sounded like it has been running not quite up to par. It runs and makes a lower sound when it runs but just the other day it had started making a high...

    Red Stripes?

breeder hasn't told me much besides that and showed me a picture of the dad and the feeding schedule

    Red Stripes?

    He's an ambilobe!

    Red Stripes?

I'm not worried or anything but I just find it a little strange/amazing that my cham has blue bars but has red stripes across his body. Mean anything? I got him April 2nd and he is about 3 and a half months old.

    1 or 2?

So currently I run 2 100w day bulbs with a temp of around 84.6 or so. Instead should I just use 1 75w basking light? It's brighter but I haven't tested it out yet to see what the temps would be.

Upside down and going in circles?

Thanks for the replies! My temps are all okay, I think he was exploring because he was looking up at the top then seemed to have a blast when he was hanging upside down haha!

Upside down and going in circles?

recently my chameleon learned that he can walk on the top of the cage (upside down) and he has been constantly walking in circles under the UVB light. Any reason why?

    Laying down?

I'd take a better picture but I'm at work right now. He was pretty dark and laying under a shaded area as if he was sleeping but his eyes were open. I don't know what he's doing now because I'm not home

    Laying down?

So it's borts second day here and he's laying down on a branch with his eyes open and is brownish black. I know he could just be stressed with his new environment (he's 3 months old an got him yesterday) but am wondering if it could be anything else. Thanks!

    My first Cham!

My first Cham named bort! He's a 3 month old ambilobe! I got him today at the reptile expo here in Oregon and I've seen him drink off a leaf that my dripper was dripping on and he's eaten out of my feeding cup!

    Male vs Female?

So this saturday I will be going to the Expo here in Oregon and will hopefully (most likely) be purchasing a cham. I know that when they are young it can be hard to correctly tell the gender so what I'm wondering is what more you need for a female compared to a male. Is it just a laying bin or..?

    Orchids?

So my grandpa is an orchid enthusiast and has a green house with over 750 orchids. This coming Saturday I'm going over to visit and he said that he'll let me have some to put in my terrarium but I do not know which ones will or will not be toxic towards chameleons. Any responses will help, thanks!

    Some or none?

Wow it looks nice! This is what my enclosure looks like. I had to remove the plants because they are cordatum and happen to be toxic so hopefully I can find some non toxic plants with nice foliage. I have substrate at the bottom but I'll be removing it this week when I order the misting system
  17. Klinger #4077

    Some or none?

Okay thanks! I did have coco fiber down but I want some free roaming crickets so he/she can hunt. I'm going to be puttin drainage holes in my substrate tray but I was wondering how many times on average you're supposed to mist in a day?

    Misting?

Thank you for all the replies! However I'm wondering on average how many mistings my terrarium should get? I have a screen terrarium and am kinda worried about keeping humidity in
  19. Klinger #4077

    Some or none?

So I've read how you should have some substrate down, and how you should have none. Many people say to use paper towels or newspapers but if you're misting and so on, wouldn't they get all soggy? Would it be easier to just spot clean and have a drainage hole?

    Misting?

Thanks so much! I'll look into getting the mistking (and tube cutter)!
