Laying down?

So it's borts second day here and he's laying down on a branch with his eyes open and is brownish black. I know he could just be stressed with his new environment (he's 3 months old an got him yesterday) but am wondering if it could be anything else.

Can't tell anything from your picture. A better picture would help.

He might be just basking under the lights. They can turn almost black when they are basking. They also often lay sideways and flatten out trying to expose as much surface area to the light as possible. Is that what he looks like he is doing?

I'd take a better picture but I'm at work right now. He was pretty dark and laying under a shaded area as if he was sleeping but his eyes were open. I don't know what he's doing now because I'm not home
