You have a male. He doesn't look fat. Also you need a lot more branches. There should be more towards the top so he can bask and a lot more leaves. You can buy a pack of vines with leaves on them for pretty cheap online. Since his cage looks pretty big you could also look for some safe plants to...
We need good pictures of the back of the feet please. Where the spurs would be are being covered by the branch. They definitely are big enough that we will be able to see them.
Babies are getting color! This guy is not even a month old yet and he's already showing vibrant turquoise color. The colors don't show up as bright in the pictures as they do in person.
We have a ton of baby Ambanja hatchlings and more hatching! So far 25 babies of 26 eggs have hatched and are doing amazing from the first clutch, (one baby didn't make it out of the egg). The second clutch is 18 eggs and 5 have hatched so far.
Bioactive cages
One of the babies, will add...
Not necessarily. My boy didn't start showing color till he was older. Every chameleon is different, some are just late bloomers.
The base of the tail is thicker. I'm gonna guess male.
Yep, very excited! Two more hatched, so down to 8 eggs and two of the eggs are shrinking and splitting. As of now we're keeping the babies in small glass bioactive cages and they're working amazingly! I'll start a new thread with some pictures
There were 26 eggs and 16 hatched but the one did t make it, so we have 15 healthy little babies as of right now. I haven't look to see if more hatched yet today, but they've been hatching like crazy.
oh yeah! Great to see you here again also!!
Unfortunately I think the baby passed away. He hasn't changed color yet, but he did poop, leaving him alone until we're sure.
The vet was our first thought but we realized they wouldn't see him since he's so small and they wouldn't be able to do anything to help anyway. We're gonna try and keep him alive but he's not up and walking and is still laying there. We're expecting that he's not gonna make it but we're still...
We have a clutch of Ambanja babies hatching. One of the eggs shrunk and started to mold so we opened it up to find this baby and it looks like he has a prolapse. He is alive but we're not sure what to do. All other babies that have hatched so far are all healthy and doing great. Any suggestions...
He look severely dehydrated.
Have you gotten his poo check for worms?
You could try crickets. What types of worms have you tried to feed him?
What's his husbandry like?
More information is going to be helpful in figuring out what's wrong with him. Good job on getting him to the vet though
Baby #2 is female and baby #3 looks male. I'm pretty sure #1 is female but a side view of the back feet of all babies would be great.
They're super cute!
Are these baby veileds? If so you don't need the vent just the back feet like you have. This one looks like a female but a side view of the back feet would probably be easier to determine if it is.
How old are they? They look very young, so the males won't start showing banding or colors till...
