    Thermal Burns!

does not look bad to me . do you have a heat source so close to the top of the cage that it could be a burn ? if so I would move the heat source high enough that burns could not happen

Help with stressed out veiled chameleon!

great advice . he will likely come around in time . I have 2 veileds that I got in may . the female tolerates some handling but the male still is not into it . now I kept them outside right until the daytime temps were less than 70 and sunny , about a week ago . now that they are inside I...

    Terranium for cold climates?

I live in new York . I spray the screen cages and the free range room daily . but I also have a planted tube cage I built that goes in the shower once or twice a week and the chameleons get a nice shower . this has been working for me and my lizards for going on 20 years now .

    Input on purchasing chameleon egg

once the eggs have been laid and are set up it is very difficult to move them without them being jostled and their orientation being changed . once they start flipping around they will most likely die . if you want to learn more check the breeding section of the forums and look up moving eggs .

    New Pygmy Chameleon!

I have a pygmy I hatched around 6 weeks ago . I did not see him eat until about 2 weeks ago . but the bugs kept disappearing so I was not worried . he has more than doubled in size already . on another note I ordered 2 female pygmies from canvas chameleons yesterday .

    New Pygmy Chameleon!

you do not need to use a lot of sealant . a few dabs in the corners and a few in the center area work fine . the stuff usually cures in about a day . I have put dart frogs in a terrarium 36 hours after using the aquarium silicon and had no problems . as long as the odor is gone it should be fine...

to many online critics, no need for it

I only wish these forums were around when I first started keeping chameleons . in fact I had reptiles way before I had a computer . there were few books on reptile husbandry and those that existed could best be called approximate guidelines for keeping reptiles . remember when ball pythons...
