Heartbroken Cham Mom..please give advice for possible future chams

I also believe in keeping them outside as much as possible . after all in the wild they are outside with all the variables in sun , shade , rain and temperature. being in real sunlight also seems to improve their color and growth .

    How is my cage

the cage looks good . I agree that more foliage could be provided. I have always used live plants and never had a problem .I usually buy a couple of extra plants and rotate them in the cage . this way it allows you to remove the plants for cleaning - a lot of waste can accumulate on the leaves .

Is my baby chameleon getting sick?

in nature they live outside . if you put him outside , in a spot where he can get out of the sun , and spray him lightly a couple of times a day , he should pick up and start eating . make sure you feed him appropriately sized food , nothing too big . make sure he can access shade to cool off .

How often should a Juvenile Male Veiled Chameleon Defecate?

a light shower . if the lizard is in a screen cage the screen will break up the water droplets sufficiently . what I look to do is simulate a rain shower - which they get in the wild . make sure the lizard has enough foliage . they usually position themselves under the leaves and utilize the...

4 week old veiled chameleon acting weird.

that is one of the reasons I use screen cages . it allows heat to escape better and yet they can still access the higher temps near the lamp . they can also get away from the heat . in glass enclosures it is hard to escape the heat and properly thermo regulate their body temp. if you have a...
