Is my baby chameleon getting sick?

I have a couple of 4 month old veiled chameleons that I keep outdoors on my patio 24 hrs . they eat everything in sight and I spray them at least once a day , unless it rains . they are growing fast . if you can you should leave your chameleon outside all day , just make sure he cannot over heat - he must be able to find shade .

I don't understand. Why will your parents not let you keep your lights on for the whole day? If this is the case, and they won't budge, do you think its the responsible thing to do to keep him if you can't offer him what he needs? JMO

I have found that feeding size appropriate silkworms to my babies has worked very well. They can't escape and it is easy to monitor how much they are eating.

OK. He is eating now. He was ravenous yesterday and he ate 10 pinheads!! How many should I limit him to each day? Is it a different amount since he is only 15 days old??? He seems more energetic and he is also not sleeping during the day! Thanks everyone for your help on this. :)

Give him as many as he will eat! While they're growing, they will eat like crazy. I fed my babies twice away, but I always gave them enough that they could pick them off whenever they liked during the day. Glad to hear he's doing well!:)

Will do waynek. Anyone have any ideas how not to stress him when I move him outside? I can't leave him out there all afternoon since it gets into the 90s and the humidity gets to low.

Have you any plants at all in his set up?
He may not feel safe enough to eat and if the lights aren't on for more than a couple of hours is probably why he sleeps. He may be confused about when's say and when's night.
Try to get him outside before it gets too hot, say early morning and maybe again late afternoon, early evening.
Kath.

Kath, he is eating now and yes, he does have plants and vines. I spray him often and he has a dripper
