Yeah, hard to tell without context but they look at least 1/2” -1” based on the OPs fingers in the picture. @chelswilkison Are you getting them from PetSmart? Their “small” crickets are too big for a cham that young IMO. As @kinyonga pointed out, you want 1/4” so get the smallest crickets you...
Banded crickets are quiet if you have access to them. It is not uncommon to not see your cham drinking. As long as his urates are white, you know he is hydrated. Setup a dripper as added insurance.
Congrats! My cham had the same stressed colors when I got him. He should brighten up by tomorrow as he gets more comfortable. Limit interaction with him for 2 or 3 weeks.
This all looks pretty good for preparing for your cham. I would recommend including what you plan to feed and supplement. The 12% bulb can be pretty strong in a single bulb reflector, but the solarmeter will help you dial in. I recommend raising the UVB light as opposed to lowering the basking...
I wonder if you could coat the foam with something as an alternative to taking everything apart. There’s a lot of DIY members in the forum that might be able to assist you, but it might warrant a new thread to grab some attention to that specific issue.
Interesting! Are you monitoring your humidity levels with a hygrometer? I’d be interested to hear what else could lead to URIs/pneumonia. As a precaution, it might be best to lower those humidity levels and misting sessions just a bit during the day. I’m happy she seems to be on the road to...
I’ve used Repashy LoD for a month on my young cham. No noted issues so far and sheds seem fine. I know the Kammers recommend the Calcium Plus like I believe the OP is currently using and they report no observable issues over multiple generations of chams. This is always an interesting topic to...
@Beman We are making progress over here. If I stay lower than my cham, I’ve been able to coax him onto my hand with a treat. This quickly turns into a “Oh $!&@...what have I done” reaction from him after he chomps down his super. He’ll start treadmilling from one hand to the next in an attempt...
As long as you get the temps you need at the basking spot and your cham can’t burn itself, you’re good. Hold your hand under the lamp. If it’s not burning you, you should be fine.
