Maybe for some chameleons, but veiled chameleons eat vegetation. If you do get fake plants, silk plants would probably be best.

It is not recommended for veileds or you risk them eating the fake plants and having impaction issues.

Might not be apples to apples, but my dog has renal issues and is on a kidney support diet that contains less protein, sodium, and phosphorus, and increased omega-3 fatty acids. Makes me wonder if feeding insects higher in phosphorus like crickets long term could potentially be a cause.

I used distilled and I also have a ZeroWater pitcher. Pretty much anything is better than most tap water. I’m jealous of all of you who have good enough water to drink straight from the tap.
