I put mine in a clear plastic soup container for the time being and put them in the same location every day. I wouldn’t worry too much about overfeeding at this age.
Depending on when you are looking to get a chameleon, you could spend some time tracking your ambient temperature and humidity levels throughout the year to get a better idea of what you’ll need as far as a setup. I use the Govee Mini which is relatively cheap and can view a graph of temperature...

Temps seem fine. I suggest filling out a health form and taking pictures of your entire setup. There could potentially be some other issues causing her behavior.

I’d get 1/4”. No more than 500. You’ll probably have some dead loss by the time you get to the end of them. Especially if your giving other feeders too.
